Leaving from old Harlow and epping at times to be advised.
WATTS GALLERY shows the unique collection left by the great Victorian artist George Frederic Watts, as his legacy in the heart of a village in Surrey. The Observer comments that “Watts Gallery is the loveliest of places….the most thrilling art gallery to visit”. We will have coffee on arrival and then be given a 30 minute talk about the Gallery, before viewing the paintings.
LOSELEY PARK HOUSE was built in the reign of Elizabeth 1 and stands in beautiful ancient Surrey Parkland. We will have a timed tour of the historic house after lunch and there is also the Walled Garden, Chapel and Shop to visit and an opportunity to purchase a renowned Loseley Ice-cream if you wish.
The cost of the visit, based on a minimum of 25 people, will be £40.50p. which includes entrances to both venues, a lecture at Watts, a guided tour at Loseley, the hire of the coach, and coffee on arrival. For those wishing to purchase a pre-ordered lunch in a private room, consisting of assorted sandwiches, kettle chips, salad leaves, fresh fruit and coffee/tea with mints there is a further charge of £7. Alternatively, you may wish to bring your own picnic and you will be directed to the designated picnic area which will be under cover if it rains.
